The Town of Jerome has Landmark Status and is listed in the
 Federal Register of Historic Places.  The new fire station was the first public building built in Jerome in seventy years.  The concept
of a brick masonry building gave the project the appropriate appearance of permanence and historic context desired.  The brick chosen matches the scale of the brick used in the earlier buildings which provides sympathetic texture and color.
